Bramford Parish Councillor’s Ian Dicker, Simon Coulson, Lester Powell and Bramford resident Howard Mottram planted 200 native trees in the Cemetery Field on Sunday 8th December, the brave team facing strong winds and rain in the wake of Storm Darragh. All trees, guards and mulch mats were provided via the Suffolk Tree Warden Network courtesy of the Woodland Trust and are a mixture of eastern clayland species well suited to this part of Suffolk. The oak, hornbeam, field maple, crab apple and wild cherry trees will eventually form a green screen between the village and the growing cemetery whilst also providing crucial habitat for local wildlife.
