Bramford residents will need to find alternative options to the Co-op store in The Street from the end of October as the building will be shutting down for a complete refurbishment throughout November.

According to customer service representatives at Wherstead Park, the East of England's HQ, the Post Office will shut at 3pm on the 29th October while the store will temporarily close it's doors at 10pm on the 3rd November.

This comes after buses through the village, linking residents to Ipswich and Stowmarket, have been cut, leaving some residents with no means to get to relevant services further afield.

The Parish Council has not been subject to formal notification of the store closure and is unaware of any further information available at this time.

If you're aware of any elderly or vulnerable residents who could be affected by this, could the Parish Council please ask you look in on them or contact the Parish Clerk at bramfordparishcouncil@btinternet.com
