There will be a public meeting to discuss the Ipswich Borough Council proposal to allocate a new gypsy and traveller site on the boundary with Bramford. It will be on Thursday 13th February in the Loraine Victory Hall from 7PM to 9PM. The agenda for this meeting will be posted on the village notice boards and elsewhere and can be seen online on our Council pages.
There has been an issue in agreeing the new services with the Traffic Commissioner and First will be unable to begin the new 88/89 services until Monday 3 March. SCC have agreed with Galloways that the 110 service will now continue until Saturday 1 March, this service will be subsidised by SCC.
We have been looking at http://www.ipswich.gov.uk/consultations and the proposal to allocate a new Gypsy and Traveller site opposite Lumberjacks on River Hill. I am sure many will have strong feelings about this proposal and Bramford Parish Council is urgently organising a planning meeting which the public can attend. We will advise the date and meeting place as soon as we can.
The agenda for our January meeting is now online. This is quite important as we will be finalising the budget for next year so please come along. The meeting is in the Parish Room and starts at 7:30 PM, you will have a chance to speak first before Councillors come to any decisions.
You may have heard that Galloways have given notice that the 110 bus service through Bramford is to be closed. The good news is that an equivalent service is to be offered by First Eastern Counties. There will be no service on Saturday 1 February while this change takes place. For more detail please see this note from the SCC Cabinet Member for Roads and Transport.
Minutes of our meetings in November are now online, on our Council pages.
